At just 08 years old, Ashiq began complaining of discomfort in his eye. We thought it was a minor injury from playing. But when we reached AIIMS Hospital Delhi, our world shattered — doctors confirmed he was suffering from Retinoblastoma, a life-threatening condition that attacks the retina.
Since then, Ashiq’s childhood has been spent in hospital corridors, going through painful treatments, injections, and chemotherapy. Yet, he never stops smiling — his strength amazes us every single day.
