Baby Ambika

The aggressive nature of her cancer meant it could rapidly spread to other parts of her body. Without timely medical intervention, Ambika risked complete blindness and the loss of her eyeball, with her condition deteriorating with every passing day.

Adding to this heartbreaking situation, Ambika’s father had passed away, leaving her mother, a daily wage labourer in New Ashok Nagar, Delhi, as the sole caregiver and breadwinner. Since Ambika’s diagnosis, her mother had been unable to continue working, having already exhausted all her savings on initial treatments. The family found themselves in an unimaginable crisis, desperate to save their little girl’s life and sight.

Cost of Treatment:

The total estimated cost for Ambika’s treatment — including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, medications, and critical eye-saving procedures — was Rs. 2,75,000.00. Her mother, already struggling with daily survival, was in no position to afford this amount. Left with no options, she courageously reached out for help, hoping for a miracle for her daughter.

When Ambika’s mother approached Saviour Foundation in a state of utter despair, our team immediately recognized the urgency of her case and admitted her under our Save a Life Program. Understanding the seriousness of Ambika’s condition, we promptly initiated a fundraising campaign and rallied support from our generous network of donors, well-wishers, and CSR partners.

Thanks to the compassion and quick action of our supporters, we successfully mobilized the required funds to start Baby Ambika’s treatment. Our foundation coordinated closely with the hospital to ensure her swift admission and continuous medical care. Along with financial aid, our team provided emotional and moral support to Ambika’s mother, standing by her side in this difficult time.

Today, because of the unwavering efforts of our team and kind-hearted supporters, Ambika has begun her treatment journey and is showing positive signs of recovery. There’s renewed hope in her mother’s heart and light returning to Ambika’s innocent eyes.
